Grandma Lunch

Grandma Lunch

When the tsunami hit southern India in January 2005, many older widows found themselves destitute and homeless. HOINA began providing one hot meal a day to these women at our Pondurangapuran property, which houses the village medical program. With this program in place, the number of visits to the medical clinic decreased as the women began receiving nutritious meals. This program continues today and is called the Grandma Lunch program.
